CASUAL AND LOW KEY have many places throughout the year, but certain occasions are worth celebrating in
grand style. In addition to the balloon drops, the din of noisemakers, the countdown, and general rowdiness,
our vision of ushering in a new year with friends
old and new is a bold celebration of hopefulness and
camaraderie. This year we will be returning to our very successful 1999 venue,
America at Union Station—how's
that for a patriotic locale? In a city of monuments, we think everything
just tastes better at an historic Washington site! The perfect
marriage of marble, gold, and sweeping views, America is also a hip
restaurant with quick service and speedy bartenders. Lodging will again be at the
tastefully restored and conveniently located
Phoenix Park Hotel, an island of hospitality and Old World charm in a sea of franchised uniformity.
Rates have been reduced again and are now lower than they were for 2000 or
1999!
Groove Spot, a highly-acclaimed party band out of Richmond
featuring a mix of hammy disco, solid funk, smooth R & B, and eclectic
pop, will be driving things along on the dance floor.
Our revamped purchase, registration, and check-in system,
mean that event logistics are much streamlined and improved for 2001. Our
$90 ticket block is sold out, but we currently have $100 tickets
available. We expect to be sold out of the $100 tickets shortly (at which time $110 tickets will go on sale).
To purchase tickets in person or to pick up prepaid tickets
you've bought online, stop by our
13 Days `Til Midnight midweek happy hour on Tuesday, December 18th,
