THIS YEAR the SCP is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with Bishop Ireton High School in nearby Alexandria, Virginia, to offer our second annual silent auction, to be held during our New Year’s Eve party at the Mayflower. Proceeds from the auction will benefit St. Ann’s Infant and Maternity Home in Hyatttsville, and the Bishop Ireton High School financial aid and scholarship program.

The 2003 auction includes a fabulous offering of unique specialty items, goods and services including: tickets for two to the ballet at the Kennedy Center, a Signature Facial and Manicure at the Sage Spa, a Waterford Crystal platter, an International Beer basket, and certificates for several area restaurants, including the Dubliner and Maggiano’s.

Auction items must be paid for in full by cash, check, or by Visa or Mastercard between 11:00-11:30pm. Winners will take immediate possession of their purchases.

This year we are also offering two unique options: Advance and proxy bids. Additional items may be added prior to auction time.

Guests and friends who wish to get an early start on bidding may do so by sending an e-mail to advancebids@scp.org. Please include your name, phone number, bid amount, and the item reference number.

It is suggested that bids begin at 50% or higher of the value of the goods or services being auctioned.
