EVENT TICKETS will be available for pick-up and purchase
from Three until Five o'clock in the afternoon, Saturday,
December Nineteenth, at the Lobby Lounge and Bar of the
Ritz-Carlton. Additional dates will be made known as
needed; prices will be increased without further notice
no later than December Twenty-Ninth, and all reservations

OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS have been arranged at the
Ritz-Carlton, an internationally acclaimed five-star
hotel featuring 18 floors of rooms with a bevy of
conveniences and details.
The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City also offers 24-hour Room
Service, a fully-equipped Business Center, legendary
concierge service, 24-hour valet parking, and a Sundry
Shop (in addition to the vast offering of shops at the
Fashion Centre at Pentagon City).
The Ritz-Carlton Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art
facility that includes an indoor lap pool, whirlpools,
sauna, steam room, and massage therapy.

DINING FACILITIES on location include The Grill and the
Lobby Lounge and Bar. Executive Chef Uffe Mikkelsen,
formerly Chef of Washington's renowned Jockey Club,
moved to the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City from the Ritz-
Carlton at Tysons Corner in 1995. By age 19 Uffe was
recognized as a Certified Chef by the Danish State
Board of Chefs, and, in The Grill, Chef Mikkelsen's
menu reflects the inspiration of the season and his
continental training. He enjoys the lighter side of
cooking and uses his Scandinavian influence to enhance
flavor and reduce the fat and calories which are
characteristic of heavier continental cuisine.
Several dozen additional dining choices may be found
in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City mall complex.

Single and double-occupancy rooms are available for
$109 per night plus tax. A New Year's Day brunch buffet

THE MAIN BALLROOM at the Ritz-Carlton features nearly
10,000SF of floor space, accented by graceful stairways
and foyers, scenic verandas, elegant chandeliers, and
impeccable furniture, carpets, and artwork.
The sound stage and dance floor will be arranged in the
central area, proximate to a massive Island Bar. Buffets
and satellite bars will be complemented by passed hors
d'ouevres and champagne service.

EVENT GUESTS NOT STAYING AT THE HOTEL are advised to
hire taxis and limousines, but ample parking is
available at the hotel and the adjacent mall.

Gonzo's Nose (http://www.gonzosnose.com) is Washington's
favorite new party band! Formed in 1997 by alumni of the
College of William and Mary and the University of
Virginia, this band boasts a loyal and growing following
of fans and a play list of over 100 songs from the 1980s
and 1990s (along with a few eclectic picks from just
about any decade you can name).
Last year, Gonzo's Nose played at the SCP's 90 Day's `Til
Midnight party at the Thompson's Boat House, and the band
is a much sought after act at many area venues.
Adrian Felts fronts the band as lead vocalist. Colleen
Monaghan plays keyboards for the group and also provides
vocals. Jon Discount and Kevin Schutt both play guitar
and bass, and Steve Spishak mans the drums.

AMTRAK trains run every twenty minutes between New York
and Union Station, and Pentagon City is conveniently
connected via Metrorail subway system. Amtrak Metroliner

been there throughout the years! The SOCIAL CLUB of the
POTOMAC (not affilated with the Potomac Club of
Washington) was formed in 1991 by alumni of regional
colleges and universities to maintain annual events and
to promote other community events.
The SCP is a 501(c)(7) non-profit, non-stock Virginia
corporation and SCP event proceeds benefit charity. Past
