2D ANNUAL SCP ROOFTOP HAPPY HOUR AT HOTEL WASHINGTON JULY 1ST!
Q: Where are you going to be THIS THURSDAY as the
slide toward the Fourth of July begins?
A: The RIGHT answer is, "on top of Washington!" at
the SCP's 2d Annual Hotel Washington rooftop
happy hour! (Sorry, but we can give no credit
for incorrect answers. -Ed.)
Share the breeze and a majestic view of our Nation's Capital with
us as we look down at the White House, the Treasury Building, and
all those other Treasury Building-looking buildings! Leave the hot
air at street level and sip cool drinks as we prepare for the dog
days of summer---all for a good cause ($5 door donation goes to
the Campagna Center's This Way House)!
We're a few days behind schedule, but a traditional Druid Summer
Solstice ceremony will be held at the moment the sun sets, so if
you get there too late you'll miss the fire-eating virgin's daring
tightrope walk to the Willard rooftop! Our customary prizes will be
given for the shrillest Celtic or druidical incantation, so practice
up now! [** see note below]
Proceeds will again benefit the Campagna Centers This Way House
for youths in crisis (see http://www.scp.org/charity.html for more).
This fee covers admission only; drinks available on a cash bar basis.
Event starts at 6:00pm. Parking is available at the Willard Hotel,
but we encourage the use of ride-sharing, taxis, and the Metrorail
subway system.

check(s) MADE PAYABLE TO THE CAMPAGNA CENTER (not to us).

Starboard (Dewey Beach), Thompsons Boat House, Rhodeside Grill, Music
City Roadhouse, King Pepper, Tortilla Coast, Head's, Clarendon Grill,
the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and America at Union
Station.
