Q: Where is EVERYONE in the DC area going to be on
the Thursday before Labor Day weekend?
A: If you mentioned any other bar---even the popular
Rock Bottom Brewery in Bethesda---you need to
continue reading on. The RIGHT answer is, "at the
first happy hour of the new Rock Bottom Brewery at
Ballston Commons Mall!"
Move over Whitlow's, move over Carpool, move over Clarendon Grill:
There's a new microbrew pub in town! Come September, Rock Bottom
Brewery will open its new Ballston location in the Glebe Road-side
expansion wing of Ballston Commons Mall, and the SCP will be there
to taste the first golden batches from the kettles and vats!
Rock Bottom is a great new addition to the booming Arlington pub
scene. It is conveniently located to I-66, Route 50, DC, and
Arlington. Rock Bottom Ballston also has plenty of room, great food,
drink, and music---and Ballston Commons has levels and levels of
garage parking!
Not a lot of work is going to get done in this town on the Friday
before the Memorial Day weekend, anyway, but now you can do your
part to ensure this is the case! Just go to our happy hour and stay
late! In fact, why not leave work early too?

Starboard (Dewey Beach), Thompsons Boat House, Rhodeside Grill,
Music City Roadhouse, King Pepper, Tortilla Coast, Head's, Clarendon
Grill, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and America at
Union Station.

SCP EVENTS LEADING UP TO NEW YEAR'S EVE AT UNION STATION
Many thanks to those of you who braved the downpours, the stifling
heat, the traffic, and the threat of sniper fire to join us at our
July 1st Hotel Washington rooftop happy hour for the Campagna
Center. It was a great way to start the 4th of July weekend!
