HIT ROCK BOTTOM WITH US, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2D, 6:00 - 9:00PM

You heard it here: Come September, Rock Bottom Brewery will open
its new Ballston location in the Glebe Road-side expansion wing of
Ballston Commons Mall, and the SCP---and Society Ties---will be
there to explore the new brews, ales, and lagers of Arlington's
 newest microbrewery!

 Join us!

SOCIETY TIES, the young professional volunteer network of the
National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America,
has joined forces with the SCP to make our pre-Labor Day happy
hour at the new Rock Bottom EVEN bigger and even better!

Society Ties helps LSA raise funds for Leukemia research, the leading
form of cancer in men and women under 35. They also host monthly
happy hours and a popular annual black tie event to benefit the LSA
and to raise awareness about Leukemia.

Conveniently located to I-66, Route 50, DC, and Arlington, Rock
Bottom is a great new addition to the booming Arlington pub scene.
It also has plenty of room, great food, drink, and music---and
Ballston Commons Mall has levels and levels of cheap garage parking!

So just plan to set the VCR (if you feel there is ANYTHING worth the
tape). Top off the dog's water dish and give him an extra pat on the
head. Leave work early. It's the start of the official slide to Labor
Day weekend, for and you can participate in the spirit of the holiday
 by loafing with us!

All inquiries about this affair should be directed to the SCP. To
leave us a voicemail message, or to hear recorded event information,
please call us at (703) 995-0383. For e-mail inquiries, contact
 bacchus@scp.org.

Formed to promote community events, the SCP is a 501(c)(7) non-
profit, non-stock Virginia corporation, and event proceeds benefit
charity. Past SCP events have been held at the Andrew W. Mellon
Auditorium, McLean Gardens, Mike Bakers, Hotel Washington,
Starboard (Dewey Beach), Thompsons Boat House, Rhodeside Grill,
Music City Roadhouse, King Pepper, Tortilla Coast, Head's, Clarendon
Grill, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and America at
 Union Station.
