HIT ROCK BOTTOM WITH US, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2D, 6:00 - 9:00PM
Consider this your last sticky note: Tomorrow, September 2d, from
6:00-9:00pm, the SCP, Society Ties, and our many revelers will help
initiate the new Rock Bottom Brewery at Ballston Commons Mall (see
their new Web page at http://www.rockbottom.com/html/rb79.html).
You are invited to join us!
Taste the new brews, ales, and lagers of Arlington's newest
microbrewery! We tasted a good deal of Batch No. 1 last Friday,
but we are still torn between the Potomac Pale Ale and the Radio
Towers Red and look forward to getting your input (this is not
to downplay the Spout Run Porter, the Ballston Brown, or Mother
Martha's Lite, which we also found quite appealing).
Conveniently located to I-66, Route 50, DC, and Arlington, Rock
Bottom is a great new addition to the booming Arlington pub scene.
It also has plenty of room, great food, drink, and music---and
Ballston Commons Mall has levels and levels of cheap garage
parking!
An optional donation of $5 or more to Society Ties (the Leukemia
Society of America) is requested. Checks are preferred over cash.
Free chicken wings will be offered from 6:00 until 7:00pm.
So leave work early tomorrow! It's the start of the official slide
to the Labor Day weekend and if you DON'T go, you won't be able to
concentrate on whatever else you're doing anyway (knowing how much
fun we're having tasting Batch No. 2)!
All inquiries about this event should be directed to the SCP. To
leave us a voicemail message, or to hear recorded event information,
please call us at (703) 995-0383. For e-mail inquiries, contact
bacchus@scp.org.
Formed to promote community events, the SCP is a 501(c)(7) non-
profit, non-stock Virginia corporation, and event proceeds benefit
charity. Past SCP events have been held at the Andrew W. Mellon
Auditorium, McLean Gardens, Mike Bakers, Hotel Washington,
Starboard (Dewey Beach), Thompsons Boat House, Rhodeside Grill,
Music City Roadhouse, King Pepper, Tortilla Coast, Head's, Clarendon
Grill, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and America at
Union Station.
