SOCIETY TIES, the young professional volunteer network of the
National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America,
helps LSA raise funds for Leukemia research, the leading form of
cancer in men and women under 35. They also host monthly happy
hours and a popular annual black tie event to raise awareness
about Leukemia (see http://www.scp.org/LSA.html for more).
Formed to promote community events, the SCP is a 501(c)(7) non-
profit, non-stock Virginia corporation, and event proceeds benefit
charity. Past SCP events have been held at the Andrew W. Mellon
Auditorium, McLean Gardens, Mike Bakers, Hotel Washington,
Starboard (Dewey Beach), Thompsons Boat House, Rhodeside Grill,
Music City Roadhouse, King Pepper, Tortilla Coast, Head's, Clarendon
Grill, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and America at
Union Station.

University Row at Spring Gold Cup: For the second year
"in a row", several alumni chapters of the Capital Alumni
Network will be forming a chain of party tents at one of
the year's most popular outings. We will leave in a bus
convoy from Clarendon Grill and will be returning there
for more afterward.
We'll keep you posted here---all you have to do is mark
