GUEST FEEDBACK NEEDED FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT EFFORT
And if your recollection of our big 2000 New Year's Eve Party at the
National Postal Museum is NOT overly foggy, we'd love to hear your
thoughts about the event. Of course, we have our own opinions, but
we'd like to hear what you think. What worked? What didn't? What
should we focus on as the hosts begin planning this year's party?

CHECK OUT TOASTMASTERS IN THE EVENING
Thanks to the positive feedback received from more limited e-mails,
the University Club Toastmasters have decided that the evening track
will resume this September!
Established in 1924, Toastmasters International uses several time-
tested, self-paced programs that are continually updated to meet
participants needs. These programs allow you to progress as rapidly
or gradually as your time and needs dictate. Whether you desire
improvement in prepared or impromptu speaking, greater skill in the
use of visual aids, experience and knowledge is to be gained in the
areas that most interest you.
But it is not all "business": An atmosphere of professional
camaraderie makes Toastmasters a unique learning environment---
informal and fun, yet dedicated to learning.
The UCTM group will meet at the University Club of Washington, DC,
which is located at 1135 16th Street NW. We will meet on these dates,
each roughly 3 weeks apart:
o Monday 9/10, 7:00pm ($10)
o Tuesday 10/2, 7:00pm ($10)
o Monday 10/22, 7:00pm ($10)
o Tuesday 11/13, 7:00pm ($10)
o Monday 12/3, 7:00pm ($10)
$30 is needed from each participant (this fee will cover the cost of
books, registration with Toastmasters, and cost for three meetings).
The $10 meeting fees will go toward dues UCTM pays to Toastmasters
International and miscellaneous UCTM expenses. Send to your check to:
The University Club
ATTN: Melissa Read
REF: UCTM-E
1135 16th Street NW
Washington, DC 20036
If you wish to stay for dinner with members of the group after the
meeting, you are welcome to do so! There was always a contingent
that does this.
At UCTM, the evening track (formerly called the "dinner track") has
been a little more experimental---maybe even a little more fun---than
the more traditional lunch track. We try out new agendas and formats,
and we like to start our meeting with a round of toasts---something
very true to the name of the group!
Please contact John Fedewa (john_fedewa@yahoo.com), VP/Communications,
or Tom Walker (tom.walker@reachinfity.com), President, for more.

SCP2000 list members were automatically unsubscribed
when the old list was decommissioned.
