First, a belated thanks to all of you who attended the spontaneous vigil at the Capitol reflecting pool on Wednesday, September 12th. It has been a long month since then, but for many of those who were there, it was a peaceful and needed pause—our first chance to do something.

Next, while it has been so overshadowed by everything that has happened since September 11th that it seems like we can barely remember it ourselves, we still want to say a word of appreciation to all who made it to the great Rock Bottom anniversary pint night with Society Ties on August 30th. It was a blast and, of course, beer proceeds benefited the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

Finally, as we said in our last note, we have moved our e-mail list to a new provider. The new list allows us to get opinions and preferences on event-related matters and some issues that are more relevant or may have changed since the first terrorist attacks.
