Social Club of the Potomac

          Capital City Countdown 2003

HURRY! Sales for our grand event at the historic Renaissance Mayflower Hotel have begun! Our heavily discounted tickets are almost sold out and prices will soon rise from $100 to $115 when the initial block is full. There is no better value going for New Year's Eve.

Nicknamed "the second best address in Washington" by President Truman, the Mayflower is an incomparable venue of charm and cachet—very much in the tradition of our annual tour of Washington's finest venues.

This year we have expanded our circle: Joining Washington's countdown to 2004 is the University Club's Proctor Dougherty Society, along with other SCP partner groups.

Music will be provided by Blues Alley veterans, The Mustangs Band and Show. Fronted by the Soul Diva of the Baltimore-Washington, Barbara Malone, the Mustangs play it all and have toured around the world: Motown, R & B, Swing, Big Band, Funk, Disco, Rock, and sweet 60s soul. And they do it "raw and real"—so you'll never see a sequencer at a Mustangs gig. Get ready to dance all night!
